Treatment of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

PMPT now offers treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction by a pelvic floor Physical Therapist. Pelvic floor dysfunction is extremely common and can affect all genders.

Be mindful that not all physical therapists are trained in treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. It is important to find a provider that has education and training in this specialty area and to find a provider that you trust and are comfortable with. PMPT employs a pelvic floor PT with significant training and experience in this specialized area.

What to expect

A pelvic floor evaluation includes examination of the whole body, including hips, lumbar spine, posture, breathing, core and of course your pelvic floor muscles. This may or may not include an internal exam by your PT. At your first appointment your PT will gather information, find the root cause of your symptoms, and develop a treatment plan to get you back to doing the things you love without symptoms.
